Stumbled across this just as I'm trying to decide whether to get a Rivian or a GX for off-roading the trails near my home in the Rockies. Seems like neither is a bad choice, but I'm leaning towards the Rivian because it's fast AF on roads, but also quiet AF on trails. (I'd be able to hear the birds singing, unlike in my diesel F-250!) Thank you! It took a pro female to convince my wife that we need an Everglades Bronco. Our first camping trip was in my 71 Bronco back in 1990. She got out a few times, but mostly enjoyed the ride. I just test drove the Everglades and was really surprised with the power, for a 4 banger, but those darn interest rates.... I hope to get one when the rates go down. Thanks for your review.

OMG this brings back memories of riding my 1979 Honda XL-185S throughout the high country of Boulder County. Just little trails here and there but that bone stock bike with a newbie rider like I was at 17 years old could easily destroy any trail that flummoxes even a decently prepped vehicle like these.

They need to make a 4wheel "lock" in the software. The wheel spin is totally unnecessary and shows they are not truly capable off-roaders the way they are currently programmed.

I only watched long enough to know that Rivian needs locking differentials. If they get locking difs before my CyberTruck reservation comes up, I will consider a Rivian.

Get a co2 tank for fast tire fill ups. Keep your thumbs out of the steering wheel. Lock the rear locker on the jeep because the lsd is very weak. Wait until the vehicle ahead finishes the obstacle before fallowing behind it. Looks like it will be a lot of fun!

Next time take Alyssa’s Fanttik X8 Apex with you. It seconds as a battery storage device as well, in case your mobile device goes dead. I got one for myself and my dad, after watching Alyssa use her’s with ease. My dad has a side by side at his off grid cabin, thought the fanttik x8 apex was perfect for venturing out into the wilderness.

So wait ... this is the aliza before aliza? One hell of an upgrade to a nice feminine woman with no crazy hair. Back to our regularly scheduled programing. So I bought a lightning due to kyle and state of charge and no regrets so far but i have been catching up with content on the net on these to see what it can and cannot do and fond this video in actually semi hard off road situation. The real locker is super cool but it makes me wonder why did they not help out with a front one too? i guess they are saving that for an FX4 package. That said i would never go on anything hard core so this capabilty is more than enough for me. Loving my lariat so far except for the slow ass charging. They keep on saying it will get better. I am still waiting!

I agree on what you said that it looked better in person. The first time I saw the bz4x in photos I HATED IT. The design is ugly and that fender looks bad. But when I actually saw one in person it actually looked pretty cool.

Kyle is super impressed with the mechanical rear diff lock , he mentions it alot , and for good reason , it does a good job. But its interesting too that on the front axle there is a virtual differetial lock too , by utilisation of the brakes and software to prevent wheelspin , not as good as a full mechanical lock , but still is effective to bypass the 3 wheel drive problem when one wheel starts spinning.

It seems the T did way better the. The S. Almost seems like you were justifying what you bought over what you tested. Either way both look bad ass, from a TRD driver
